The public prosecution of Saudi Arabia announced the final verdict by holding 8 people responsible for Khashoggi's murder. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the verdict against them was announced on Monday.
5 people have been sentenced to 20 years in prison for their involvement in the murder.
The remaining three killers were sentenced to prison terms ranging from seven to 10 years.
Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist and staunch critic of the Saudi crown prince, was murdered on October 2, 2018, at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. He went there to get his marriage papers.
Saudi authorities initially denied involvement in the killing.
It is the work of a group of Saudi crooks. After the assassination, Khashoggi's body was dismembered. Burned in acid. Almost 2 years after the murder, his body has not been found yet.
Khashoggi was once known as a close friend of the Saudi royal family. Criticizing the Saudi Monarchy is a shame for him.
