Abdul Wahab Talukdar, the head of the investigation committee formed by TITAS, said that a terrible explosion occurred at the Baitus Salat Jame Mosque in Talla area of Narayanganj due to the construction of the mosque over the gas pipe line.
During the construction of the mosque, the Titas gas main line was damaged while piling.
After visiting the spot on Wednesday afternoon, he told the media in the evening.
Wahab Talukder said, six leakages were found in the gas pipe line by searching under the road in the street on the north side outside the mosque to find out the cause of the explosion.
Later, the leakages were closed and tested by supplying gas to the gas line with water inside the mosque. However, no leakage was found inside the mosque.
Digging the ground, it was found that several structures of the mosque were built over the gas pipe line, causing leakage in the pipe. He claimed that the explosion happened from that leakage.
A few houses have been connected by piercing the main line of Titus.
Abdul Wahab Talukder, General Manager of Titus Gas Transmission and Distribution Company, said the head of the investigation committee formed by Titus.
