A case has been filed against 36 people including the party's joint secretary general Maulana Muhammad Mamunul Haque for the murder of former Amir Allama Ahmad Shafi of Hefazat Islam.
Allama Ahmed Shafir's brother-in-law Mainuddin filed a case in Chittagong Judicial Magistrate Court-3 in the morning. Advocate Mohammad Abu Hanif, the plaintiff's lawyer, confirmed this to the media.

Urging to identify Shafi's killers and those planning the murder through judicial investigation, Ruhi said it is the government's responsibility to identify those involved in the killing of Ahmad Shafi Huzur through judicial investigation and bring them to justice.
