State Minister of Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak presided over the event as special guests and spoke from the senior secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department NM Ziaul Alam, Fisheries and Livestock Secretary Rawonak Mahmud and project director of A2I. Md. Abdul Mannan. A2I's joint project director. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir spoke as a guest at the event.
E-CAB President Shami Qaiser presented the context of Digital Hut in the event, General Secretary of E-CAB Mohammad Abdul Waheed Tamal presented the related information through video presentation and E-Commerce Head of A2I Rezwanul Haque Jamie presented details about Digital Hut.
In the chief guest's speech, the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock said that we should stay away from public gatherings to prevent the spread of Corona virus. For this the digital system has to be seized and used. The entire Bangladesh is moving towards digital system. Common people are now also able to join the digital system.
In this reality, Digital Hut is a timely initiative as an alternative system. This year we aim to market 25 percent of total sacrificial animals through digital channels. So far 1 lakh 57 thousand cattle worth about Tk 1116 crore have been sold on the digital platform. This is very promising.
Everyone is enjoying the benefits of a prosperous modern digital Bangladesh, even those who once scoffed at it. Bangladesh is today a role model for development due to Sheikh Hasina's impeccable creation. If the digital system was not established in Bangladesh during the Corona period, it would have faced various adverse situations. This Bangladesh is the Bangladesh of Bangabandhu's dream, the realization of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's adoring pursuits and efforts.
Around 5 lakh 98 thousand 31 farmers affected by corona in the livestock sector have been given incentives of around 700 crore rupees in two phases. So that the farmers do not fall into a distressed situation, arrangements have been made by organizing the farmers to sell the milk, eggs, meat produced on the road. Digital system has helped a lot in this regard.
Addressing the Livestock Officers attached to the event, the minister added, keeping the sacrifice in front, the infection of Corona should not increase in any way. For that, they should be encouraged so that people do not go in large crowds. Farmers should be supported. Stand by them.
