Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that the government will decide to relax the restrictions of the ongoing strict lockdown considering the cow traders and shop owners on the holy Eid-ul-Azha.
He said these things to reporters after a meeting at the Ministry of Home Affairs at the secretariat on Monday (July 12).
The Home Minister said that the government will give instructions to do everything keeping in mind the necessities of life and livelihood, which you will hear. I don't want to say anything more about it now. In due course, through whomever will receive power.
In response to the question whether the 'lockdown' is being relaxed for the sale of cows on Eid, he said, there are many reasons. For example, if the farmers cannot sell the animals, then they have to provide care for one more year. Then there are the shop owners, but they sit all year round for Eid. They go through two Eid sales.
He said, Corona has shaken not only our country but the whole world. That's why we have to be aware. How much awareness will the government give with the police, if we are not aware ourselves. We have been calling all the time through the media, so that people follow the hygiene rules. He also warned everyone to wear masks as long as possible.
