Those who believe in the spirit of patriotism and liberation war should get the responsibility: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that those who believe in the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh and those who believe in the development of Bangladesh must follow their ideals while suggesting to take into account the belief in the spirit of patriotism and liberation war in the promotion in the armed forces.

Those who believe in the spirit of patriotism and liberation war should get the responsibility. So that Bangladesh can be taken forward in the right direction in the future.

He said this through video conference from Ganabhaban in the directional speech on the occasion of Armed Forces Election Board-2020 on Monday.

Addressing the senior military officers of the Armed Forces Council, the Prime Minister said, "All you senior officers have come together in the Armed Forces Selection Board." We have enough confidence in your wisdom, your judgment and your fairness.

I would only request that the appropriate officials rise above personal preferences in these cases so that they get the promotion.

Not only those who get high marks in the notebook, but those who can work well in the field, can command, have the ability to lead or have the ability to make quick decisions or have that mentality, you have to bring them to trial.

This country became independent in exchange of the blood of lakhs of martyrs. I can not let the blood of martyrs go in vain. Those who believe in the spirit of the liberation war, those who believe in the sovereignty of the independence of Bangladesh, those who believe in the development of Bangladesh, surely they should continue with that ideology. Those who believe in the spirit of patriotism and liberation war should get the responsibility.

Armed forces are the symbol of our nation's sovereignty. May they move forward with our spirit while maintaining their honor.

Keeping an eye on everything, we have mobilized our armed forces and are taking such measures. Along with that, we have also developed specialized educational institutions so that all types of training can be given to all of us.

We want to build an armed force with modern knowledge. And that is our goal.

Armed forces are a disciplined force. Those who get promoted in this well-disciplined force can maintain a discipline at all times.

Because discipline is the backbone of our armed forces. Therefore, those who are aware enough about discipline will be loyal to those who are above, as well as responsible towards the subordinates.

General Aziz Ahmed, Chief Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office was present at this time. The officials of the Prime Minister's Office including Ahmad Kaykaus.
