I will not spare anyone in Noakhali incident: Prime Minister

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is extremely angry about the repeated internal clashes, loss of life and bloodshed of Awami League in Companyganj upazila. He said that strict action will be taken against all parties involved in those incidents.

Yesterday, in a joint meeting of Awami League's Parliamentary Board and Local Government People's Representative Nomination Board, he expressed his strict stance several times.

This was confirmed by several leaders who were present at the meeting which lasted from morning to evening at Ganabhaban.

Several leaders said on condition of anonymity that yesterday's joint meeting was to finalize Awami League's candidates for Laxmipur-2 seat by-elections and 11 municipalities and 371 union parishad elections, but Sheikh Hasina talked about Awami League's conflict in Noakhali during the selection or after the break.

According to a source present at the joint meeting, Sheikh Hasina expressed extreme anger over the open dispute and bloodshed between Basurhat Municipality Mayor and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader's younger brother Abdul Quader Mirza, Noakhali District Awami League General Secretary Ekramul Karim Chowdhury and Feni Member of Parliament Nizam Hazari and many others. .

Angry Prime Minister said, I work so hard for people. And they spoil the image of the government. I will not spare anyone. All those responsible must pay for this.

Whatever achievements I make, they destroy all my achievements. Voters are increasing in our favor. But I can't bring home the result of this vote because of their dispute.

Our public support is increasing but why can't we bring home the results! Strict action will be taken against all these people.

When asked, a member of the presidium of Awami League told Kal Kantha on condition of anonymity that she (Sheikh Hasina) is very angry about the Noakhali incident. He said two or three times in the meeting that strict action should be taken against the culprits.

Incidentally, for the past two months, there have been repeated clashes between Awami League leaders and activists in Companyganj Upazila of Noakhali.

Recently two people were killed and many were shot in a span of 15 days. Basurhat Municipality Mayor Abdul Quader Mirza first brought this internal dispute to the public.

He made various allegations against Noakhali District Awami League General Secretary Ekramul Karim Chowdhury and Feni MP Nizam Hazari, wife of Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and several influential leaders.

In such a situation, Mizanur Rahman Badal, Joint General Secretary of Companyganj Upazila Awami League, entered the field on behalf of those against whom Kader Mirza had complained.

As a result, the followers of Badal clashed with the followers of Kader Mirza. In this context, Badal was arrested two days ago and is in jail. But no case has been taken against Kader Mirza yet.

According to Awami League sources, in yesterday's joint meeting, multiple opinions were seen among the policy-making leaders of Awami League regarding party nomination for Lakshmipur-2 seat.

Laxmipur District Awami League General Secretary Nooruddin Chowdhury Nayan was finally nominated. However, there was a discussion in the meeting that there are allegations of corruption against him.
