Stating that there is no dispute with Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, Planning Minister MA Mannan said, 'The behavior of the Foreign Minister regarding the construction of the proposed railway line from Sunamganj to Chatak was not appropriate.
He made this comment when the Planning Minister was asked about this at a press conference after the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday.
MA Mannan said that the DO letter (semi-official letter) given to the railway minister by Abdul Momen on behalf of the five members of parliament of Sunamganj was not appropriate. There are six MPs in Sunamganj.
But he gave DO to Railway Minister on behalf of five MPs. But he didn't talk to me that much.
If someone else was in his place, he would have called me.
He used to ask me, what is the matter, why did five MPs from your area come to me? Anyway, the information is missing. We both are good friends. The foreign minister's work is global. And my work is rural. Both of us are working under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
But nothing major happened between the two. The Planning Minister also commented that regional tensions sometimes happen.
