72 families under the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief in Phulbari of Kurigram have received the furnished houses given by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Recently, the poor families are very happy to get a ready-made house.
It has been reported that the government has allocated 2 crore 15 lakh 89 thousand 92 taka for 72 families in the upazila under the project of construction of disaster resistant houses for the homeless under the rural infrastructure maintenance (TR) program in the financial year 2019-20. 2 lakh 99 thousand 860 taka is allocated for house construction for each family.
In this regard, Upazila Parishad Chairman Golam Rabbani Sarkar and Project Implementation Officer Sabuj Kumar Gupta said that according to the government policy, the helpless poor of the 6 unions of the upazila have been identified and constructed these paved houses.
