The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has requested the general public to prevent the spread of coronavirus by noting that passengers other than the driver cannot be carried on motorcycles.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) informed this information through a circular on Monday.
According to the notification, a person known to the driver of the motorcycle is sharing the ride even during the lockdown. Or some are sharing rides for professional reasons as well.
As a result, the same used helmet is repeatedly used by different people. This increases the risk of corona virus infection.
It is said that the Dhaka Metropolitan Police in the capital is discouraging the movement of motorcycles with passengers other than the driver in view of the current situation during the second wave of this upward infection of the coronavirus. It is being requested to travel by rickshaw following the health rules.
To prevent the spread of coronavirus, the government has issued a notification announcing a limited lockdown from June 28 to July 1 at 6 am. A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Department on Sunday (June 27).
