Commerce Minister has no Facebook account, call to stop fake ones

It has been called upon to refrain from operating the social media Facebook account using the name and picture of Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi.

In a press release of the Ministry on Thursday, it is known that recently, it has been noticed that several accounts have been opened on the social media Facebook using the name and picture of the Minister of Commerce for quite some time. Those operating these fake accounts in the name of Commerce Minister are requested to desist from unethical practices. Otherwise strict legal action will be taken against the responsible persons.

The MP does not operate any Facebook account using his name and picture and does not have any Facebook account, the notification said. It is mentioned in the circular that a general diary has been made in this regard on July 6 at the Ramna Model Police Station in Dhaka.
