Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni said that it is not possible to give autopass to the candidates who have exams in 2021. This year SSC and HSC exams will be held on short syllabus.
He said this in the chief guest's speech at an online event at the National Academy of Education Management (NAEM) in Dhaka.
The Education Minister said that this year a short syllabus has been formulated for SSC and HSC candidates which can be prepared in three to four months.
Based on this, SSC and HSC exams will be held. Before that, students will get a chance to prepare for the exam for three to four months.
Addressing the students, he said that in 2020, the HSC candidates had completed all preparations for the examination, but due to the high rate of infection at that time, the government thought of autopass for their safety.
But the matter is different for the candidates in 2021. They could not prepare well. So it is not possible to give them autopass.
After that, the Education Minister participated online in the unveiling of the newly installed 'Bangabandhu Mural' at Naim and the inauguration of the 159th Basic Training Course.
