Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that BNP's lies and propaganda have spread at a high rate in keeping with the level of infection. They will not do anything for the people, on the contrary, they create confusion by spreading misinformation and rumours.
He made this comment while participating virtually in the distribution of food items among the needy people organized by Swachhasebak League at Bangabandhu Avenue on Thursday morning.
Awami League Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, General Secretary of Volunteer League Afzalur Rahman Babu and other central leaders spoke at the event under the chairmanship of Volunteer League President Nirmal Ranjan Guha.
Even though BNP talked big, they were not seen to stand by the people. Now politics is to stand by the helpless people. Standing by the people is now the only political and organizational program. Awami League does the politics of land and people, Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina is doing it in continuation of the politics taught by Bangabandhu to stand by the helpless people.
Obaidul Quader urged everyone to rise above nepotism and be careful about delivering the incentive money to the real beneficiaries.
The General Secretary of Awami League once again reminded all concerned of the government's firm stand against any kind of irregularities in this regard. He warned that those who do nine-six with the help of working people will not be exempted in any way.
