BNP was ashamed to thank the government but could have thanked the nation at least: Information Minister

On Bangabandhu's 101st birth anniversary, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Bangladesh Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr. Hasan Mahmud.

He said that even though he was ashamed to thank the BNP government as Bangladesh was promoted to a middle-income country, he could have at least thanked the nation. They have failed to provide that.

On Wednesday (March 17), after laying wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in Dhanmondi along with the party leaders, the minister gave a speech as the chief guest at a meeting, prayer and fertilizer distribution ceremony organized by the Bangladesh Farmers League at the Awami League office on Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka on the occasion of the birth centenary celebration of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

He said that Bangabandhu established the independent state by energizing the sleeping Bengalis for thousands of years with the mantra of freedom, and today it is the nation state of Bangladesh for all the Bengalis of the world. That's why Bangabandhu Mujib is not only the leader of Bengalis in Bangladesh, he is the leader of all Bengalis in the whole world.

Awami League Joint General Secretary Hashan Mahmud said that many leaders were born in the pages of history, they led the people and brought freedom to their country.

But in the way Bangabandhu inspired a nation, the most beloved of people, their own lives, with the intention of sacrificing their lives, fought with their lives and brought Bengali freedom by crossing an ocean of blood, and brought the bright sunrise of freedom in the sky of Bangladesh. Such an unforgettable leadership is rare in history.

On the threshold of the golden jubilee of independence, the minister said that Bangladesh has been promoted to a middle-income country in Mujib Centenary.

But even if they felt ashamed to thank the government, they could have at least thanked the nation. They have failed to provide that.

They want to make a villain a hero, a school transfer office a headmaster, but the achievement of the nation is not their choice', the information minister said, stating that Pakistan is desperate, Bangladesh has left them behind.

And the country has moved so far under the leadership of BNP. The two have similarities.

Don't distort history, accept history, those who don't respect history, history doesn't forgive them' said to BNP. laugh

President of Bangladesh Krishak League chaired by agriculturist Sameer Chand and General Secretary Member of Parliament Ed. Under the direction of Umm Kulsoom Smriti, Vice President Sheikh Mohammad Jahangir Alam and other leaders of the organization addressed the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, Hasan Mahmud along with the organizers and guests cut the cake on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birthday, participated in prayers and distributed free fertilizer among the farmers on behalf of the Farmers League.

After that, on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birthday at Bad Johar National Mosque Baitul Mukarram, the joint general secretary of the party joined the prayer organized by Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League. laugh
