National Farmer-Labor Liberation Movement convener M. commented that the announcement of opening industrial factories while stopping public transport is the best joke in history. Gholam Mustafa Bhuiya, joint convener. Manjur Hossain Isa and coordinator farmer Md. Mohsin Bhuiyan said, stop caring about working people 'in search of food'. Close the envelope and either open everything or close everything. What happens to people if they tie their hands and feet and throw them in the river, the same situation happens to industrial workers. Stop joking with the workers.
They said these things in a statement sent to the media on Sunday (August 1).
They said that by deciding to open an export-oriented factory in the lockdown without ensuring the safety of workers including transportation and vaccines, the workers were made victims of the owner's lust for profit. The government's decision to open export-oriented factories under strict lockdown despite the rising number of corona infections and deaths is extremely ill-considered and inhumane.
The leader urged the workers to be vaccinated immediately, saying that the government has put billions of people in the country at risk of infection to satisfy a special group. After the announcement of the opening of industrial factories, more than half a million workers from all over the country are coming to Dhaka by walking hundreds of miles, piling up small vehicles and paying ten to fifteen times the rent.
