The top 551 clerics of 'Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Bangladesh' issued a statement demanding that Hefazat Islam be declared a radical militant organization and its activities banned.
In a statement sent to the media on behalf of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat on Saturday morning (April 24), Hefazat Islam is interfering with the basic rules of conventional Islam to cover up the destructive activities and heinous crimes in the name of humane marriage or contractual marriage, from the ambition to seize state power, so that the country's scholars are ashamed. .
Islam does not support involvement in social injustice, destruction of state property, harm to life and property. Country-Millat-Mazhab is never safe for individuals or organizations involved in such destructive activities. Since the birth of Hefazat in 2010, they have been spreading violence. Sometimes the preacher of Islam threatens to demolish the shrine-khanqah of Allah's children. Sometimes they want to establish radical militancy in the country by openly threatening to attack the majority Sufi people of the country.
They said, 'Declare Hefazat a radical militant organization and ban it. Maintain peace and order in the country. Establish full government control over communal educational institution-boards against prevailing education policies, laws and policies in the country.' Apart from this, Ahle Sunnat leaders also called upon the countrymen to sever ties with this militant group dressed as clerics.
