Dhaka Custom House (DCH) detained a passenger with 1 kg 850 grams of gold worth Tk 92 lakh 50 thousand at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The passenger's name is Mohammad Jasim. Yesterday afternoon he arrived in Dhaka by SV 3808 flight from Jeddah. Assistant Commissioner of DCH Solaiman Hossain Saif said that Jasim, a passenger of the flight from Jeddah, was monitored based on secret information.
Later, 16 gold bars were found in 4 cosmetics containers from the bag he was carrying.
He was detained while crossing the airport's Green Channel.
