Training of Bangladeshi experts has started for safe operation of rooppur nuclear power plant under construction. Two groups have started receiving training from this month at the training center located at the Rooppur project site.
More than 50 groups will be trained. The duration of the training will be approximately 4 to 12 months. The training program will include courses on various subjects. The duration of each course will be 2-6 weeks. There will be theoretical, practical and on-job training in the Rooppur project.
According to the general contract, Russia will provide training to 1,119 Bangladeshis in a few steps. In addition, 305 more people will be trained as reserve staff. 850 people will be trained in Russia and the rest will be trained at the Rooppur NPP Training Center under the supervision of Russian trainers. The training will be conducted by experts from Russia's Novovaronezh nuclear power plant.
NovoveronezH NPP is considered as the reference project of Rooppur NPP in Bangladesh. Rooppur Training Center has already been prepared for simulator training. State-of-the-art simulator system has been added. The trainers of Rosatom Technical Academy conduct system debugging activities. The head of Rosatom Corporation said Russia would never allow the project to fall into a state of helplessness.
Golam Shahinur Islam, a Bangladeshi expert, is the head of the Rooppur NPP Training Center. He completed the training program with distinction at Rosatom Technical Academy in the 2018-19 session.
