AFC Cup was canceled due to Corona crisis

The matter was confirmed on AFC's verified Facebook page after an online meeting of AFC officials. Last March, the AFC Cup was suspended due to the outbreak of the Corona virus. Group 'E' play was scheduled to begin next October at a neutral venue in the Maldives.

The Asian Football Confederation has canceled the AFC Cup-2020 due to the deadly corona virus. However, Bashundhara Kings started the camp with the aim of returning to the field with the AFC Cup in mind. Their efforts failed.

Uncertainty about the resumption of the AFC Cup has been heard for some time now. AFC officials held an online meeting to decide the fate of the competition on Thursday. It was decided to cancel this season.
