Although there is no rain, the sky in most parts of the country, including the capital, is covered with clouds since morning. According to the Met office, many places in Rangpur, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places in Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds temporarily. Along with this, there may be moderate heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.
The Meteorological Department has given these information in the 24-hour forecast after 9 am.
Meanwhile, more than half of the country has received light to moderate rains in the last 24 hours. Among them, the highest rainfall was 31 mm in Kutubdia of Chittagong. And it rained a little in Dhaka.
The forecast also said that day temperature may drop slightly and night temperature may rise slightly across the country.
The extension of the monsoon axis extends over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of this is located in the North Bay of Bengal.
Monsoon will be fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay of Bengal, the forecast also said.
