Sujan Chowdhury, Alikadam (Bandarban): Upazila Chhatra League, Bandhumahl and various organizations formed a human chain in Bandarban's Alikadam to demand the speedy arrest and justice of the killer jeep driver of Chhotansheel who was killed in a road accident.
Sunday (April 17) at 11:30 on the road in front of the Upazila Parishad on March 29 in Badhur Jhiri area
Various organizations including political organizations and people from various professions participated in the human chain demanding the quick arrest of the killer driver of Chhotansheel, who was crushed to death by the wheels of a reckless jeep car.
Sagarika Sheel, the sister of the man-tied victim, said, "We don't want money, we want justice for my brother's killer." My brother was premeditated by a hitman driver. To ensure the death of my brother, the killer driver hit the car again, when I remember my brother, I want to run to him, where is my brother? How to approach him?
He also said that the police of Lama police station could not arrest the killer jeep driver even after almost three weeks. Rather, the investigating officer is trying to save the accused and the plaintiff is being harassed in various ways. How much more time do the police need to catch the real accused?
Upazila Awami League Vice President Kamrul Hasan Tipu, Samranjan Barua Upazila Awami League General Secretary and Bandarban Zilla Parishad Member Dungrimong Marma, Upazila Awami League Joint General Secretary and Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Kofil Uddin, Sadar Union Member Abdul Mubin, Upazila Sramik League General Secretary Md. Shamshul Alam, Upzilla Chhatra League President Jabed Hossain and General Secretary Shafiqul Islam, Atiqul Islam, a teacher and friend of the deceased, and Bikash Karmakar of Anbesha School.
Speakers in the human chain said, in this modern era, why is it taking a long time for the police to catch a murderer, or is the police not catching them on purpose? Bus-jeep owners have been driving unskilled drivers and unfit vehicles on the Lama-Alikdam Chakria road for years while the administration has been playing a silent role for unknown reasons. A fresh life was prematurely lost due to the reckless speed of the car driver.
Police are not arresting the killer driver even though he is roaming in the open. So far, the investigation officer of the case is spending money on various scams without handing over the motor bike of the deceased Chhotansheel to the family. The family of the deceased is not getting even the slightest bit of sympathetic treatment from the police. They also said, the owner of the car changed the car to a useless car and put the lot number of that moving car and handed it over to Lama police station? A Jeep owner cannot do this alone without the help of stakeholders.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Lama police station Shahidul Islam Chowdhury said that the jeep driver has been identified and is under surveillance. The driver will be arrested at any time. He further said that the jeep with that number is mentioned in the plaintiff's case and is being detained.
I did If the car is changed, the car that the plaintiff says will also be impounded. The car is not important, the driver is important. A case has been filed against the driver. I can give the motor bike to the deceased's family, but since there are multiple heirs, the bike will be handed over to whoever the court decides to give it to.
