Awami League presidium member and law minister Abdul Matin Khosru passed away due to corona. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun. He was 71 years old at the time of his death. He died on Wednesday afternoon while undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital.
The former minister was undergoing treatment at Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital (CMH) since March 16. He was on life support since last Tuesday. He was infected with corona. Matin Khosrow is the current president of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
Mr. Abdul Mateen Khosrow was born in Comilla in 1950. He actively participated in the Great War of Liberation in 1971.
Matin Khosru was elected Member of Parliament from Comilla-5 Constituency in 1991 as Awami League nominated candidate. Then he was elected a member of parliament five times in 1996, 2008, 2014 and 2019. In the 7th Parliament (1996-2001) served as Law Minister. He is the President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs in the current parliament.
