Eight people including three women died in Satkhira in the last 24 hours due to corona symptoms

Eight more people, including three women, died in Satkhira in the last 24 hours due to corona symptoms. They died while undergoing treatment at Satkhira Medical College (SAMEC) Hospital.

With this, a total of 76 people died in the district yesterday (July 8) till 12 o'clock in the night due to corona infection. And 404 people died with symptoms.

Those who died in Satkhira with corona symptoms in the last 24 hours are Mahfuja Khatun (50), wife of Idris Ali of Satiantala village of Sadar upazila, Surat Ali (80), son of deceased Kalim Uddin of Patharghata village of Kalaroa upazila, Tahmina Khatun (35) wife of Abdul Mannan, Nazar of Shankarpur village of the same upazila. Nasim Uddin (40) son of Ali, Rabeya Parveen (68) wife of Mosharraf Hossain of Barali village, Tahmina Khatun (35) wife of Abdul Mannan, Abdul Khalek (90) son of late Abdul Hai of Mautla village of Kaliganj upazila, Chabed Ali Gazi son of Batra village of Asashuni upazila. Mokched Ali Ghazi (69) and Amirul Islam (62) son of Taiyab Ali of Itagacha area of Satkhira city.

District Corona Information Officer Dr. Jayant Kumar Sarkar said eight people died in the district due to corona symptoms in the last 24 hours. A total of 488 samples have been tested in the district in the last 24 hours and 136 people have been diagnosed with corona. The detection rate is 27.86 percent.
