Companiganj Upazila Awami League has demanded that Basurhat Municipality Mayor Abdul Quader Mirza's shameless lies and all irregularities be investigated and brought under the law as soon as possible.
This demand was announced in a press release signed by the President of Companiganj Upazila Awami League, Khizir Hayat Khan and General Secretary Nurnabi Chowdhury on Tuesday night.
According to the press release, Basurhat Municipality Mayor Abdul Quader Mirza systematically questioned the achievements of Bangladesh Awami League President Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government and strongly condemned the false case and shameless propaganda in the name of upazila Awami League leaders including Bangladesh Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and his wife Isratunnesa Quader. He protested.
At the same time, I strongly demand that Abdul Quader Mirza's murder politics, tender betting, extortion, acquisition of illegal wealth, job trade, nomination trade and all the misdemeanors be investigated through proper authorities including NSI, DGFI, ACC and bring him under the law as soon as possible.
When contacted with upazila Awami League president Khizir Hayat Khan, he confirmed the truth of the press release.
On the occasion of Bangabandhu's birth centenary, all the programs of Companiganj Upazila Awami League have been suspended at the request of the district administration.
