7 more deaths in corona ward of Kushtia General Hospital

In the last 24 hours, seven people have died in the corona ward of Kushtia 250-bed general hospital.

Saturday (June 26) resident medical officer of Kushtia General Hospital Dr. Tapas Kumar Sarkar informed this information.

Dr. Tapas said that the pressure of patients in the hospital is increasing every day. Hospital doctors, nurses and volunteers are getting infected with corona while providing medical services.

In the meantime, the hospital has been made Corona dedicated. In this situation, efforts are being made to take emergency alternative measures to continue the service by handling the situation.

164 people are under treatment in hospital isolation and 1 thousand 412 people are in home isolation. He said that in the last 24 hours, 77 new corona cases have been detected in Kushtia PCR lab. The detection rate is 34.52 percent.

The total number of corona infected patients in the district so far is 6 thousand 9 13 people. Among them, 5 thousand 200 people have recovered. 180 people died.
