17 more people died in Kushtia Corona Hospital in last 24 hours

17 more people have died in Kushtia Corona Hospital in the last 24 hours. Of these, 14 died of corona and three with symptoms. They died between 8am on Saturday (July 10) and 8am on Sunday (July 11).

Kushtia General Hospital supervisor Dr. MA Momen confirmed this information. Meanwhile, after testing 892 new samples, 245 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. The detection rate against the test is about 27.44 percent.

422 patients were under treatment in the hospital. Due to bed shortage, additional patients are being treated on hospital floors, corridors and balconies. For this, doctors, nurses, midwives and all concerned are struggling to provide medical services.

On the surface, it can be seen that there is no place to step anywhere in the hospital because of the crowd of patients. Patients are receiving treatment in heaps. Although there is adequate medical equipment including oxygen, there is a shortage of manpower and space. For this, doctors, nurses, midwives and all concerned are struggling to provide services.

A hospital doctor who did not want to be named said that no system will work if Corona continues to grow like this. Then many unexpected events will happen. Coping will become difficult. What happened in other countries of the world. We all have no choice but to be aware of this. Be aware of your family and neighbors. Otherwise, everyone will suffer.

Hospital's Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Tapas Kumar Sarkar said, most of the patients need to be given oxygen. As the number of patients increases, the oxygen cylinders are getting crowded. Many are admitted with 40 to 70 percent oxygen saturation. Their situation is complicated.

They have at least a week of fever, chills and cough. Most of such patients come with complicated conditions. And patients who come after the oxygen saturation is reduced, it becomes difficult to save them. For this, medical care should be taken in advance.

Kushtia General Hospital supervisor Dr. MA Momen said that the 250-bed Corona dedicated hospital now has more patients than beds. As of Thursday morning, 422 patients are under treatment in hospitals with corona and symptoms.

Among them, the number of patients infected with corona is 292. 130 people are admitted with symptoms. So far there is no shortage of medical equipment. But there is shortage of beds, nurses, nannies and sweepers.
