Boalkhali representative: 74 Rohingyas who escaped from various refugee camps in Cox's Bazar have been detained in Boalkhali again.
Boalkhali Thana Police arrested these Rohingyas from the rented house made of a shed in Bu-Ali Qalandar Shah Mazar Gate area of Karladenga Union of Upazila on Monday night.
A few Rohingyas said that with the help of Kefayet Ullah and some others, they escaped from the camp and were working in lemon orchards in Karladenga area of Boalkhali.
In this regard, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Boalkhali police station. Abdul Karim said, these Rohingyas fled from various refugee camps in Cox's Bazar and moved to Boalkhali. They were working as laborers in areas including lemon gardens. Preparations are underway to file a case against them. Detained Myanmar nationals were handed over to the court after filing a case.
He also said that operations against collaborators will continue to prevent Rohingya infiltration.
Earlier, 31 Rohingyas were detained by Boalkhali Police Station from Karaldenga on the night of June 26 this year.
