After testing the samples of 41 people in Chuadanga in the last 24 hours, corona was detected in all of them. That is, the detection rate is 100%. This rate of detection is a record among all regions of the country.
At the same time, 2 more people died due to corona infection in the district. With this, the number of confirmed cases in the district is 2 thousand 837 and the number of dead has increased to 91.

According to Chuadanga Health Department sources, out of 41 newly identified people in Chuadanga district, 19 are in Chuadanga Sadar Upazila, one is in Damurhuda Upazila, seven are in Alamdanga Upazila and 14 are in Jibannagar Upazila.
Among the two deceased, one is Abdus Sobhan of Banka village of Jibannagar upazila and Ruhul Amin of Loknathpur village of Damurhuda upazila.
Currently the number of active patients in the district is 697. Among them, 633 people are under home isolation. 61 people are admitted to the hospital and three are referred.
Strict lockdown has started in Jeevannagar upazila from 6 am on Wednesday (June 23) due to increase in corona infection. Earlier (June 20) lockdown started for seven days in Alukdia Union of Sadar Upazila including Chuadanga Municipality from 6 am. Damurhuda upazila bordering the district was locked down on June 15.
