Ishaat Zaman Munna, Lalmonirhat: SP Abida Sultana BPM-PPM gave away the award trophy to Rangpur Ranger best police officers at the office of District Superintendent of Police on Tuesday.
It is reported that Rangpur Range Police evaluates police officers every 3 months to speed up policing. In continuation of that assessment, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Kaliganj police station, ATM Golam Rasul, has been selected as the best OC of Lalmonirhat district for the fourth time in a row for playing an important role in controlling the overall law and order situation of Kaliganj upazila, crime prevention and drug control. Zahurul Haque was elected the best SI of the district working in the same police station and Salim Ahmed was elected the best ASI of the district.
When asked about being selected as the best officer in charge OC of the district for the 4th consecutive time, the elected officer in charge ATM Golam Rasul said that since joining the Kaliganj police station, I have been working to control the law and order situation with the advice of District Police Superintendent Abida Sultana, and being a bordering upazila, I have been working to control the situation of narcotics. Regular operations are being carried out to eradicate drugs as the infestation is high, he added, expressing hope that regular operations will continue to implement the government's zero tolerance policy in drug eradication.
