All Dhaka-bound long-distance buses will be suspended from 6 am on June 22 to midnight on June 30. This decision has been taken in the light of the notification of the cabinet department.
Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association general secretary Khandkar Enayet Ullah told reporters this information on Monday.
He said that it is not possible to enter Dhaka city by avoiding any of the seven districts which have been brought under lockdown. Therefore, according to the government instructions, the long-distance bus service to Dhaka will be stopped from June 22 to June 30.
Earlier on Monday, a lockdown was announced in 7 districts of the country from 6 am tomorrow to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
This decision will be effective till 30 June (Wednesday) 12:00 PM. For these 9 days these districts will be somehow 'blocked'.
The 7 districts which have been under lockdown are Manikganj, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Rajbari, Madaripur and Gopalganj.
The movement of common people will be completely stopped in these districts till June 30. Public transport will not operate. Market-shopping malls will remain closed. Government and private offices will also remain closed (except for emergency government offices
