Voting in Dhaka-5 and Naogaon-6 vacant seats will be held in EVM on October 17.
The Election Commission (EC) has announced the full schedule of by-elections for these two constituencies after finalizing the date on Thursday.
The last date for filing nomination papers in both the constituencies is September 17. Scrutiny of nomination papers on 20 September. Last date for withdrawal of candidature is 27 September.
Allotment of symbols is on 28th September. And on October 17, voting will be held in EVMs from 9 am to 5 pm.
He said that due to the corona situation, polling will be conducted in accordance with hygiene rules. Instructions will be issued to everyone to follow the hygiene rules during the election campaign.
The Regional Election Officer of Dhaka has been appointed as the Returning Officer for the Dhaka-5 Constituency by-election. And Assistant Returning Officer has been appointed Demra Police Station Election Officer and Motijheel Police Station Election Officer.
The district election officer has been appointed as returning officer for Naogaon-6 constituency. Niamatpur Upazila Election Officer will serve as Assistant Returning Officer.
Dhaka-5 seat fell vacant due to death of Habibur Rahman Molla due to old age on May 6.
The seat of Naogaon-6 became vacant after the death of Israfil Alam on July 27.
