The police have been able to unravel the murder mystery and arrest the accused in the case of the murder of Shakil Ahmed alias Bhola (35), a well-known cloth merchant of Pabna.
On Wednesday, Pabna Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mohibul Islam Khan BPM said in a press briefing that cloth merchant Shakeel Ahmed was killed in a planned manner due to his wife's estrangement and his desire to enjoy property alone with his younger brother.
The police arrested his wife Mim Khatun (20) and his younger brother Sabbir (22) who were involved in Shakil's murder on the night of the incident. It is already known that the wife Mim has given a statement in the court under section 164.
At first, the police could not find any clue about the mystery of this murder. A four-strong team of police, led by the Superintendent of Police, including Additional Superintendent of Police Feroze Kabir, Police Station OC Asaduzzaman Asad and OC (Investigation) Mohammad Hadiul Islam, using information technology, first arrested 2 accused within 24 hours. Later, during questioning at the police station, the deceased Shakeel's wife and brother admitted their involvement in the murder.
Superintendent of Police said that after the marriage, the younger brother Sabbir had an extramarital affair with the deceased Shakil's wife Mim. Also, there was a dispute with Shakil regarding the sharing of land and fish farming of his parents and only younger brother. Shakil can also raise the issue of wife Mim and Sabbir's estrangement.
That's why they started living separately by staying in the same house and when the matter went too far, Shakeel took his wife on the 2nd floor of the house of one Ahsan Habib in Rupnagar College neighborhood of the city on May 19 as a tenant.
But Sabbir secretly gives a mobile phone to Mim, which Mim hides and only talks to Sabbir secretly and mingles closely when the house is empty. At one stage Bhabhi and Devar get angry with Shakeel and plan to kill Shakeel.
According to the pre-planned wife Mim mixed three sleeping tablets with water on the night of May 27. On May 28, under the influence of medicine, Shakeel just slept the whole day. Later in the evening, Sabbir secretly goes to Shakeel's house. Shakeel was still sleeping under the effect of sleeping pills.
As per pre-planned Sabbir and Mim entered the bedroom with the cushions of the sofa set and suffocated Shakeel by suffocating him while he was sleeping. Shakil could not resist as much because of the additional sleeping pills.
The police also said that in order to influence the murder of accused Mim and Sabbi's victim Shakeel differently, as per the pre-planned, accused Sabbi tied Mim's two legs with a veil, Shakil's panchabi with Mim's two hands and Mim's veil and tied her face with Mim's veil. goes Meanwhile, Sabbir took the mobile phone given to him to talk to Mim secretly.
Incidentally: Last May 28 around 10:30 pm, the dead body of Shakeel, a cloth merchant of Ish Radi Bazar and son of Ibrahim Hossain of Dublia village of Pratirajpur in Muladuli Union, was recovered from his rented house.
While describing the pre-planned drama, wife Mim said that when 2 unknown persons came to Shakeel's rented house and called, he opened the door of the house. Unidentified persons forced their way into the room and slapped Mim twice and kicked her in the chest, rendering her unconscious. Mim regained consciousness around 9 p.m. Then his hands, feet and face were tied with cloth and the door of the house was blocked from outside.
With her hands and feet tied, Mim kept kicking the doors and wardrobes of the house for about 1 hour hoping to get help from the neighbors. At around 10 o'clock in the night Najma Begum, the wife of the owner of the house, heard the sound of Shakil's door and found Khulo Mim tied up with her hands, feet and face tied. Later, when the relatives were told about the incident, they came to the spot and saw Shakeel dead in front of his wife Meem. At that time, they quickly informed the Isharadi police station.
Korban Ali, the uncle of Shakeel, who was killed in the incident, filed a murder case against the unknown accused as the plaintiff.
