'Birganj Diabetes and Foot Care Centre'
Inauguration and discussion meeting held.
On Monday afternoon, the Diabetes Center and Foot Care Center was inaugurated at the entrance to Birganj Upazila from Dinajpur.
Renowned diabetes and hormone disease specialist Professor Dr. Dinajpur-1 Constituency MP Manoranjan Sheel Gopal was present as the chief guest in the inaugural function under the chairmanship of Laik Ahmed Khan, Indian Assistant High Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Bhati appointed to Bangladesh, Senior District and Sessions Judge Aziz Ahmed Bhuya, District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Anwar Hossain were present as special guests. In the first phase of the inauguration ceremony, Chief Guest MP Gopal inaugurated the center by unveiling the plaque, releasing festoons and pigeons and cutting the ribbon. After that discussion session started with recitation of Holy Quran, recitation of Holy Gita, lighting of mangal lamp and performance of national anthem.
In the chief guest's speech, MP Gopal said, 'India has set an example of friendship towards Bangladesh and Bangabandhu. Bengalis and Bengalis will always continue to play a role of friendship towards India. Because India-Bangladesh friendship is bound by blood ties. And the friendship that is bound by the bond of blood cannot be analyzed in terms of anything else. As India has stood by the people of Bangladesh in any critical moment, Bangladesh will also take that stand by them.
In the speech of the special guest, Indian Assistant High Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Bhatti said,
India-Bangladesh relations are very close. This relationship will deepen in the future. We have trade between our two countries. Among the number of people who visit India from abroad, the number of people from Bangladesh is more. The people-to-people relations between our two countries are extensive. In one word, the Bangladesh-India relationship is the golden chapter.
Dr. welcome speech. DC Roy said, 'My main goal is to provide low-cost medical services with modern facilities to the patients suffering from diabetes at the grassroots level. So that a patient gets affordable modern treatment. And my other goal is to reduce the number of amputations in diabetes patients by providing more awareness advice. Above all to ensure up-to-date medical care for people suffering from complications related to diabetes in North Bengal.
Diabetes screening test and blood donation program were conducted in the second phase of the inauguration ceremony.
