In the last 24 hours, 17 more people have died in the corona unit of Mymensingh Medical College (MMEC) Hospital. Among them, 5 were diagnosed with corona and 12 died while undergoing treatment with symptoms. The spokesperson of the Corona Unit of the hospital confirmed the matter on Thursday morning. He said that Idunnesa (80) of Mymensingh Sadar, Shamsul Alam (75) of Akua area of the city, Kulsum Akhter (55) of Netrakona Sadar, Biswajit Dev (75) of Sherpur Sadar and Morsheda Begum (65) of Jhenaigati upazila.

Apart from this, Abdul Aziz (42) of Mymensingh Sadar died with symptoms. Mohammad Mostafa (73), Ibrahim Mia (50) of Fulbaria Upazila, Rupa Begum (19) of Nandale, Ripon Ghosh (45) of Sherpur Sadar, Rashida Begum (50), Shamima Begum (45) of Nalitabari, Hossain Ali (80) of Netrakona Sadar, Abdul Jabbar (92), Mojahid Mia (22) and Abu Bakar (59) of Jamalpur Sadar and Nargis Akhter (22) of Sarishabari Upazila.

Dr. Mohiuddin Khan Moon also said that a total of 381 people are admitted to the corona unit until 10 am on Wednesday. Among them, 21 patients are in ICU. 55 people have been newly admitted, 29 people have recovered and returned home.

Meanwhile, the detection rate of corona has also increased in Mymensingh district. In the last 24 hours, the presence of coronavirus was found in the body of 236 people after testing the samples of 645 people in the district.
