There is a strict lockdown across the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus. To implement the lockdown, the law and order forces have set up checkposts at various points of the capital. Meanwhile, the police arrested a young man while wearing a burqa to watch the lockdown.
On Friday, she was arrested by the police while trying to enter the capital by walking through Gabtali wearing a burqa and foot socks.
In the police interrogation, the young man said that he had come to the capital on foot from Hemayetpur in Savar and was going to Jatrabari. But Jatrabari was giving different kinds of information each time about who he was going to, whether it was an acquaintance or a relative.
Abu Sufian, the police sergeant in charge, said that while we were on duty at the check post, a man wearing a burqa was crossing the Gabtali check post through Amin Bazar Bridge.
If we have doubts, we question him. Later I found out that the burqa is not a girl, it is actually a boy. We are talking to the Thana police about this matter.
Asadur Rahman, traffic sergeant in charge at Gabtali check post, said, "We have interrogated the boy wearing a burqa. We are looking into where he was going or what his destination was.
