Ishaat Zaman Munna, Lalmonirhat : In separate incidents in Kaliganj Upazila of the district, the police recovered the dead body of a woman and the burnt body of a woman from two areas.
On Saturday (March 19) morning, the two bodies were recovered from North Dalgram (Patwatari) of Dalgram Union and North Musharat Madati area of Madati Union in Kaliganj Upazila.
According to the police and locals, a housewife named Faria Begum (22) died on Saturday morning in North Dalgram of Dalgram Union of the upazila after being tortured by her husband and father-in-law and mother-in-law for dowry money.
In that incident, husband Sujan Mia (30) and his father Shahjahan Ali, mother Farifa Begum left the body and ran away.
After receiving information, Kaliganj police station recovered the body and brought it to the police station. On the other hand, the police recovered the burnt body of a housewife named Rupali Khatun (25) from North Musharat Madati area of Madati Union of the upazila.
She is the daughter of Rafiqul Islam of North Musharat Madati ward no. Her mother Anjuara said, I fell asleep after praying with my daughter at night. I can't say when she got up and went to Baganbari. Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) ATM Golam Rasool confirmed the truth of two separate incidents. A team from Lalmonirhat will come to the spot and recover the charred body of the woman.
