Unidentified youth died after being hit by a train in Hatibandha

Lalmonirhat representative: An unidentified youth was killed after being hit by a train in Hatibandha of the district.

The accident happened last (December 18) morning at a place called Chaitapara of Hatibandha Upazila. The district railway police could not immediately confirm the identity of the youth.

According to local residents and eyewitnesses, the train leaving Lalmonirhat was heading towards Burimari. Later, when he reached the place called Chaitapara, the young man fell under the train. He died on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lalmonirhat Railway Police Station Md. Baharul Islam said that the body of the young man has been recovered. However, it is not clearly understood and cannot be said whether he died due to the impact of the train or otherwise. He also said that the matter will be understood if the identity of the deceased youth is identified.
