On January 28, 2021 at 8.30 am, the Titas police station of Comilla received information that two mobile phones and a 19-month-old child were stolen from a house in Ulukandi village of Titas by unknown persons.

According to the news, Jannat Akhter (25) lived in Ulukandi village of Titus with her 19-month-old daughter Raisa. Her husband Md. Halim has been abroad for a long time.

The night before the incident, Jannat Akhtar was sleeping in her house with her daughter Raisa as usual. Around 4.30 pm, he went to the outdoor toilet to answer the call of nature.

Returning home after some time, she found that her child was not in the bed. He is not even found anywhere in the house. At that time he saw that Sid was cut in one corner of the room.

Jannat Akhtar immediately realized that someone had stolen her beloved child. He became disorientated by fearing the possible danger of the child.

In no time, the criminals demanded huge sums of money for the return of the kidnapped child. Since then they started calling the mother and uncle of the child victim asking for money after some time.

After receiving the news of the incident, the Titas Thana Police rushed to rescue the stolen child in a healthy condition. A specialized team of Comilla District Police joined him under the leadership of the concerned Circle Officer.

The concerned policemen were negotiating the whole matter very cautiously. Their main objective was to rescue the child without any harm while keeping their identities secret.

Finally at 7.45 in the evening the team managed to arrest one person including rescuing the child from a char of Balrampur under Titas police station.

But by then the child's physical condition became very fragile due to severe winter. Therefore, he was quickly taken to Titas Upazila Health Complex and the necessary treatment was arranged. After some time, when the child's physical condition is normal, he is handed over to his mother.

A case has been registered in the Titas police station and the arrested accused has been sent to court. Efforts are on to arrest other accused in connection with the incident.
