Mamunur Rashid Titu, Bhola Representative: A five-year-old child named Ali Azgar has gone missing after falling into the river while playing in Daulatkhane of Bhola.
The incident took place on Tuesday (August 18) afternoon in Beribandh area of the upazila municipality ward number 2. The child is the son of Alamgir Mia, a resident of Ward No. 2, Daulatkhan Municipality.
The family members of the child said that in the afternoon when Ali Azgar's mother was working at home, the child Ali Azgar left the house and went to the river bank of Chowighat area along with one of his cousins to play. At one stage of the sport, due to carelessness, he fell into the river. When his cousin who was with him informed his family about the incident, they started searching the river to rescue the child. No trace of the child Ali Azgar has been found yet. So far, the locals have said that rescue work is going on by throwing nets in the river. Some rescue workers of Daulatkhan Fire Service have also come and are engaged in rescue work after receiving the news.
Fireman Amir Hossain of Daulatkhan Fire Service said that after receiving the information, a team of fire service reached the spot to take part in the rescue work and are trying their best to find the child.
