Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam said that the owners should take responsibility for the security of the building. He said this while visiting the scene after the explosion in Moghbazar on Sunday night.
Seven people were killed in a terrible explosion in the capital's Moghbazar at around 7:30 pm on Sunday. Apart from this, 38 people have been admitted to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital.
The explosion happened in Moghbazar Wireless area at 7:30 pm.
Those who are doing business have to ensure the security of their business organization themselves. We have to be alert and aware towards electrical safety, building safety, gas safety.
Those who build a 20-storey building, the owner must take responsibility for the safety of that building.
A small mistake can cause a big accident. Therefore, for the sake of oneself, for the sake of one's family, for the sake of common people, the security matters must be ensured.
