In Khulna, police have arrested a person named Shamser Ali (51) on charges of making threats against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Facebook. He was arrested from Station Road area of the city last Monday around 1 pm.
Arrested Shamser Ali son of Zainal Abedin of Lakshmipur village of Pangsha upazila of Rajbari.
Khulna Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aslam Bahar Bulbul said that Shamser Ali, the manager of a paint shop on Station Road in the city, shared a post insulting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Facebook last Monday. He was arrested on the basis of secret information in this incident.
