7 robbers with 5 cows arrested in Rangpur

The police arrested 7 members of Antjela Dakat team in a raid in Rangpur. During the operation, 5 cows and a truck used in robbery were recovered.
This information was informed in a press release signed by Shariful Islam, the officer of Rangpur District Police Intelligence Unit, on Monday evening.

According to the press release, on March 22, a gang of 8-10 robbers took 14 cows hostage at gunpoint and fled in a truck from Badrul Islam Pramanik's cow farm in North Mominpur Guchchagram of Rangpur Sadar Upazila.
In this incident, the owner of the farm filed a case at Rangpur Sadar Kotwali Police Station. From Sunday (April 5) to Monday afternoon, raids were conducted in Thakurgaon, Rangpur and Dinajpur districts and 7 members of the anti-district bandit gang were arrested.
The arrested robbers are Chadekul Islam, Minarul Islam, Tarajul Islam, Chalam, Mahabul Islam, Mofiz Uddin and Obaidur Rahman. They were sent to jail by the court on Monday night.
Meanwhile, 5 cows and a truck were recovered during the operation, according to the press release.
